A Guide to Restoration Phases
Written by John Lynch

Ages and areas in Myst Online: Uru Live must pass through 5 stages of restoration before the D’ni Restoration Council deems them safe enough for players to visit. However, despite the fact the DRC is strict about an Age or area passing through the five phases, players are still able to gain access early sometimes through other means.

This page explains what the 5 phases of restoration are so that players can understand them when they come across the terms in DRC documents or conversation. They are:

Phase One: Initial Mapping
This is overseen by Dr. Ikuro Kodama and is when the Age is first explored by the DRC.
Phase Two: Structural Analysis
This is overseen by Dr. Ikuro Kodama and is when the Age’s buildings are studied to determine how difficult they will be to repair.
Phase Three: Detailed Analysis
This is overseen by Dr. Marie Sutherland and is when the final study of the Age happens before restoration begins.
Phase Four: Restoration
This is overseen by Michael Engberg and is when everything in the Age is repaired and fixed.
Phase Five: Final Check
This is overseen by Dr. Marie Sutherland and is when the Age gets a final look over before the Age is opened to explorers for general exploration.
